Participation In Public Funded Projects

Timeline

2025

Genesis - Driving sustainable semiconductor innovation across Europe: Coordinated by CEA-Leti, the three-year project brings together 58 partners spanning the entire European semiconductor value chain, from large enterprises and SMEs to research institutes, universities, and industry associations. GENESIS will drive innovative solutions in emission control, eco-friendly materials such as alternatives to PFAS-based ones, waste minimization, and raw material reuse, directly aligned with the European Green Deal and European Chips Act.

2025

Within the project GreenPro funded by the BMFTR, HQ-Dielectrics is working with our partners Fraunhofer EMFT and Plasmetrex to develop a new scalable etching system for environmentally friendly production in the semiconductor industry. The aim is to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, replace current standard process gases such as SF6 and C4F8 for deep ion etching, and develop a highly efficient plasma etching chamber.

2024

"Semiconductor-X" aims to adapt the Gaia-X/Catena-X architecture to the semiconductor industry and develop new digital twin technologies to digitally represent the critical planning segment of the semiconductor supply and value chain. HQ-Dielectrics provides Life cycle assessment and AI-supported CO2 footprint optimization of plasma oxidation as a process step in semiconductor production.
